Jomboy Media uses Listener as its source of truth for podcast performance, bringing audio, long-form video, and social data into one reporting workflow. The result is a process that takes roughly half the time and saves the team hours every day.
“It's completely changed our internal workflow. Listener has become our source of truth for podcast performance, it takes the core podcast metrics and combines them with long-form view data from every other platform we post to, so we finally have one number to point to instead of stitching it together ourselves.”
What is Jomboy Media?
Jomboy Media is an independent digital sports media company built on baseball-first storytelling and an engaged fan community. Founded in 2017 by Jimmy O’Brien and Jake Storiale, the network has grown to more than 50 shows spanning podcasts, YouTube, and social channels.

The challenge
Before Listener, campaign reporting meant manually updating spreadsheets with links and view counts pulled from a handful of platforms. Cross-platform reporting was one of the slowest, most laborious jobs on the Account Management team’s plate.
Audio downloads, long-form video views, and short-form social performance lived in separate places. The team had to stitch that data together before it could understand the reach of an episode or report a campaign.
The use case
Listener gives Jomboy one place to connect the core podcast metrics with long-form and short-form performance from every platform. Episode Clusters group every post tied to the same episode, making one complete performance story available to sales and account management.

How Jomboy uses Listener
The sales team now does most of its reporting through Listener. Once the team builds an Episode Cluster and tags the brand that sponsored each video, campaign reporting stays up to date without another round of manual collection.
“Before Listener, campaign reporting meant manually updating spreadsheets with links and view counts pulled from a handful of different platforms, slow and labor-intensive. Now, once we build a cluster and tag the brand, it's set it and forget it.”
Episode-level performance across every format
Short-form clip performance now sits alongside long-form performance for the same episode. This gives Jomboy a true picture of how an episode performed across every post, long and short form alike, something the team could not visualize easily before.
Across more than 3,600 Episode Clusters, Jomboy can move from an individual post to an episode-wide view without leaving the same reporting system.
Clearer campaign value without changing the pitch
Listener has not changed how Jomboy prices or pitches long-term deals. Instead, the EMV function makes campaign value easier to communicate. Jomboy can use its real CPMs to show the value of each post, then roll that up to show brands the full return across a complete campaign.
The results
Jomboy is already tracking 102 campaigns in Listener, with a goal to report every campaign through the platform in 2027.
